Mission Statement
The Madison Doula Collective is committed to respecting and loving a diversity of business models, as well as professional practice styles among doulas in the greater Madison area birth community. We recognize the importance of decolonizing our own reproductive work and strive to support the work of Queer, Trans, Black, Brown, Indigenous and Doulas of Color.
Expectations for MDC Doulas

Maintain positive professional relationships with other members of the birth community including other doulas and care providers

Represent MDC in a professional manner

Maintain a supportive & loving attitude towards other doulas in the collective

Join quarterly meet & greets, rotate hosting a monthly group prenatal, and once-a-month MDC member meeting (unless at a birth or family emergency)

Chip in as-needed for website and advertising costs

Share responsibilities of running the collective (check email, maintain website, answer phone calls, coordinate community engagement activities)

Requirements:

Doulas who are actively taking clients
-
Available for the backup support

Can attend our MDC meetings (Quarterly Info Session, Group Prenatal, business meetings every fourth Tuesday 10-12pm)

Send at least 1 client reference/testimonial/or personal reference

Have or is willing to develop a website upon joining

Have completed a doula training and/or previous experience (please share in detail in your application)
