Mission Statement
The Madison Doula Collective is committed to respecting and loving a diversity of business models, as well as professional practice styles among doulas in the greater Madison area birth community. We recognize the importance of decolonizing our own reproductive work and strive to support the work of Queer, Trans, Black, Brown, Indigenous and Doulas of Color.
Expectations for MDC Doulas

Maintain positive professional relationships with other members of the birth community including other doulas and care providers

Represent MDC in a professional manner

Maintain a supportive & loving attitude towards other doulas in the collective

Join monthly meet & greets, monthly prenatals, and monthly MDC member meetings (unless at a birth or family emergency)

Chip in as-needed for website costs

Share responsibilities of running the collective (check email, maintain website, answer phone calls, coordinate space)

Requirements:

Doulas who are actively taking clients
-
Available for the backup calendar

Can attend our MDC meetings (Meet & Greet, Group Prenatal, business meetings every first and third Monday morning of the month)

Send at least 1 client reference/testimonial/or personal reference

Have or is willing to develop a website upon joining

Have completed a doula training and/or previous experience (please share in detail in your application)
