Qwantese Dourese Winters

She/Her

Greetings! I'm the founder of Oasis Maternal Care, where our mission is to enhance the maternal journey with a blend of comfort, security, and grace. As a doula with three years of experience, I received my training from esteemed sources like Harambe Village and Doulaing the Doula.

My aim is to foster transformation through love and unwavering integrity, a purpose I wholeheartedly pursue through Oasis Maternal Care. In my role as a doula, I provide essential nourishment, both for the body and the spirit.

I'm deeply committed to supporting mothers who often face neglect due to their race, struggles with addiction, financial hardships, mental health challenges, or incarceration. I firmly believe that everyone deserves a beautiful birthing experience, irrespective of their circumstances. Although my journey began by focusing on these mothers, I wholeheartedly welcome women and non-binary people from all walks of life, eagerly standing by their side as they navigate the path to empowered childbirth.

In my doula practice, food plays a pivotal role. It's not just about sustenance; it's a means of sharing culture and compassion with mothers and their families. Simultaneously, it offers the vital nutrients required during pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

My personal experience underscores the healing power of food. A hearty pot of greens, brimming with fresh vegetables alongside savory cornbread, has nursed me back to health on numerous occasions. This intimate connection between food and healing is woven into my doula services and has earned me the name "The Food Doula". Those under my care don't just receive physical support; they also savor the comfort of carefully curated meals tailored to support their recovery and changing bodies and minds. This includes home-cooked family meals and thoughtful meal plans that remove the guesswork from postpartum nutrition.
